About

Australian construction is changing rapidly. Regulatory reform, updates to the National Construction Code, changing safety expectations, new construction technologies, modern methods of construction and sustainability requirements are reshaping the way construction work is planned and delivered. For trainers and assessors, historical industry experience alone may not be enough. Training should continue to reflect the practices, standards, technologies and workplace expectations that learners are likely to encounter in contemporary construction. Construction Industry Currency Update 2026 provides a structured professional development update across five major areas: Construction Industry Update NCC Update for Construction Trainers WHS & Site Practice Update Emerging Construction Technology Sustainable Construction Practices This course is designed to help trainers and assessors refresh their vocational knowledge, identify changes affecting the industry, and consider how those developments should be reflected in training and assessment. Completion of this course may contribute to broader evidence of vocational industry currency but does not by itself determine whether a participant meets an RTO, employer or regulatory requirement for industry currency.
